How We Help
At Home of Hope, we provide a safe haven for young women who have experienced homelessness, abuse, and exploitation.
We rescue them from the streets and with our support, these young women gain valuable skills and resources to thrive in their personal and professional lives.

Helping The Whole Community
At Home of Hope, we house approximately 12 women per group and employ eight staff members, including directors, caretakers, and security guards. Our employment opportunities provide much-needed jobs in a country where work is scarce.
A Home of Hope!
At Home of Hope, we rescue young women from the streets and help them break free from the cycle of poverty. Many of the girls we serve arrive pregnant, abandoned, or with babies in tow. Some have survived prostitution and have been beaten and abused. Shockingly, 75% of Liberian women have been raped at some point in their lives, and some of the girls we serve have already lost children to starvation and disease. They come to us hungry, sick, and depressed.
In response, we provide the care and support they need to heal and rebuild their lives. We offer them nutritious meals, clothing, and access to healthcare, including hospital birth services for pregnant women. Our trauma healing classes and vocational training programs equip them with skills and resources to thrive in their personal and professional lives. Most importantly, we remind them of their value and worth, showing them the love and support they need to overcome their past traumas.
Breaking The Bonds Of Poverty
Once the young women complete their vocational training (3-6 months), we provide them with a package of basics, including a mattress, cooking pot, market supplies, and enough money to rent a room for six months. We stay in touch with them to ensure they are earning money from their trade and thriving in their new lives. With your support, we can continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these young women, empowering them to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.
Giving Hope & A Future
We believe that our impact extends beyond the walls of our shelter. By addressing the issues of domestic violence and homelessness, we are sending a message to the Liberian community that all women are valuable and deserving of support. By investing in the lives of these vulnerable young women and their children, we are creating a brighter future for our community as a whole. Our work is helping to break the cycle of poverty and abuse, and we are proud to be making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve and the community at large.

To Save Lives
Our work is critical in the lives of so many young Liberian women who have experienced homelessness, poverty and domestic violence. Many of the girls we help come from backgrounds where they have been abandoned or orphaned with no help or support making them vulnerable to exploitation, trafficking, and other dangerous situations.
Through our programs and support, we equip these young ladies with the skills and resources they need to overcome their past traumas and teach them skills to provide for themselves.
