Family Tracing
At Home of Hope, we conduct family tracing to reunite girls who have lost contact with their families.
Heartwarming reunions and the opportunity for girls to return to their families have been made possible through this process, providing them with a sense of belonging and support.

Family Tracing
One of the things we do at Home of Hope is family tracing. Sometimes our girls come in having lost all contact with family. They don’t have money for transport to look for family in their home village.
Key To Our Success
James Tokpah is one of our Directors at Home of Hope. James also works at the local police as the Commander of the Women and Children’s Protection Section. James has extensive experience in family tracing, and we utilize his skills thoroughly! James make extensive enquiries and travels wherever he needs to in order to find any family members that may be still living. There have been some joyful reunions with family members. In some cases the extended family assumed their lost family member to have died.
Heartwarming Reunions
Sometimes, where resources permit, our girls are able to return to live with family. Like 14yo Angel who recently graduated. Family tracing found her mother and father living in a village in another county. She found that her mother had become pregnant and given birth to twins. Tragically, her mother died after the birth. Angel made the decision to return to live with her father and care for her baby brother and sister. Heart-warming!
Where possible we ask any living family member to attend the graduation of their loved one. This helps the girls to feel supported and proud of what they have achieved. And don’t worry, any girls that don’t have family are given particular love and encouragement!
Trauma Healing
Classes are designed to help women who have experienced trauma and abuse to heal and rebuild their lives in a safe and supportive environment.
Vocational Training
Our girls come from backgrounds of poverty, abuse, and neglect, and lack the necessary skills and education to secure stable employment and support themselves and any children they have.
Health Care
We provide our girls with proper healthcare for illnesses and injury.
If a woman requires specialized medical attention during pregnancy, we ensure she receives it.
