Pregnant with no Income
Evelyn became pregnant whilst living on the streets She had no form of income and no hope for attaining any. In her third trimester Evelyn went into early labour. Some kind community members took her to the hospital, where she was delivered of twin girls by C-section. Having had no ante-natal care Evelyn was unaware she carried twins.
Sent back to the streets
Upon discharge from the hospital, The nurses paid her hospital bill and Evelyn returned to the street with her premature twin girls, Grace and Gracious. 2 years later Evelyn came to us at Home of Hope. Somehow, she and her girls had survived, although Grace and Gracious were the size of 10 month olds. They were unable to even sit up. After a couple of months at Home of Hope her twins were starting to gain weight, were able to sit and stand, and Evelyn’s delighted comment were “my girls can play now!” something she had not previously witnessed. With the emotional and physical support provided, Evelyn began to rebuild her life. Home of Hope not only provided her with shelter and safety but also equipped her with vocational training and trauma healing.
Answer To Prayer
Today, Evelyn is a beacon of resilience and transformation, a testament to the power of hope and the life-changing support that Home of Hope offers to women in crisis, helping them turn their lives around and embrace a brighter future.
